The DRC has a priority of assuring that federal and state Medicaid services, especially those designed to meet the needs of individuals with long-term impairments, are available. These services when made available and delivered appropriately not only prevent deterioration and dependence, but promote enhanced independence and productivity and overall quality of life. These services range from traditional medical services to occupational or physical therapy, to a variety of in-home supports to families to services which facilitate independent or supported community living or employment.
