The Lauri DeMayo Certificate of Appreciation for Accessibility

Lauri DeMayoThe Lauri DeMayo Certificate of Appreciation for Accessibility is awarded to restaurants who receive a fully positive review by the Rolling Gourmet and are substantially in compliance with current accessibility guidelines.

Lauri DeMayo 1962-2005

Lauri DeMayo was a strong advocate for people with disabilities. Lauri had a physical disability and had used a Lauri DeMayowheelchair for many years. Lauri had a degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and worked for the Alliance for Community Supports. She was on the Board of Directors of the Disabilities Rights Center. Lauri was dedicated to grass roots organizing in New Hampshire and advancing the goals of the Americans with Disabilities Act, to afford individuals with disabilities equal opportunity, economic self-sufficiency, independent living, and full participation in all aspects of community life.
